Do you ever “wish” that you would just get through something challenging, difficult, sad, or life-changing? We know what those experiences could be in our individual lives. Our desire can be just to get through and come to that place where our situation is peaceful again. We can think of this as our palace life, where all is good again.
But if you are a child of God, He is always at work for us to grow into His Kingly likeness. Think about Esther, yes, the Esther in the Bible. When we hear of Esther, it is that phrase “were you made queen for just such a time as this?” Or “you were born for such a time as this!”

But Esther had experienced a time of sadness when she was orphaned as a young girl. After being wonderfully raised by her cousin she was captured and taken to be purified and prepared to present to the king, as a possible choice for his queen. More sadness and difficulty. So, Esther is orphaned while her people are in captivity, and then she is captured and taken away from her cousin. And then finally good happens! She has favor while being purified for presentation to the king, and wonderful she pleases the king, and he decides to make Esther his queen. Perfect Palace life at last!
Enter evil. Her people the Jews were hated, and the plan was to kill all the Jewish captives in Persia. The king, however, did not know that his queen was also a Jew and the evil plan he had been led into would mean his queen would also be killed.
So, Esther, under the guidance of her cousin, took a stand, prayed and even at her peril went before the king to fight for her people, the Jews.
“Esther pleased the king, and he granted her request!”
Perfect Palace life is a lifestyle of taking hold of everything that we are meant to grasp and own as Kings and Queens of the Kingdom. The love of the King with which He loves me and brought me into His palace, is the same love that must impact the world. The King of kings grants our requests, that His Kingdom come, and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Perfect Palace life means righteousness rules! Heaven on earth in Jesus! This includes the good fight of faith.
We all have an enemy, the devil, and he is out to destroy us, because we are made in the image of God. He does not want that God’s likeness be formed in us. He does not want us to be purified and presented to our Lord and King as His bride and queen.
Let us fight the good fight of faith! Life in the Palace or heaven on earth, right here, right now! God is taking us through purification and preparation right into His presence!
