This past Sunday was another special day in the calendar, “Mother’s Day”. Restaurants were busy and full, with long wait times. Grocery stores had bouquets of flowers and, or chocolates or candy and potted plants on sale as gifts to mother. Florist shops had busy weekends with orders for flower arrangements for mom. Children’s crafts were something appropriate for mothers. And families gathered where possible or so inclined to visit with mom. Thank you for the flowers and gifts and meals and visits that celebrate mother.
So, who is mother? She is a woman! She is female! She is a lady! She is beautiful. She has a capacity to hold life, a nurturer with the capacity to feed, a lover with a heart to embrace and to love. A sanctuary where those around her can know a peace that passes understanding. Also, a warrior who will fight for the goodness of those of whom she is a guardian, a teacher of righteousness, morality, and values. Is a giver willing to lay down her life to give life to others.

It is this person that God created, from so close to the heart. The heart out of which pumps life-giving blood. She was created to stand alongside of a man to uphold that standard of righteousness, morality, and life and not offer or seduce him to eat that which would destroy him and herself in the process.
Proverbs 31:30 NKJV
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
“Be the woman God intended you to be, reflecting His image. Let Him show you who He IS.”
Women are required to stand and live lives commanding respect for righteousness, morality, and life for ourselves, men, and children. Be a lady and require righteousness, morality, and life wherever you are and from those around you. If we ladies do not require it then those around us will not learn and know the true gift of a lady, woman, female, and a mother!
Be the woman God intended you to be, reflecting His image. Let Him show you who He IS. Speak and give life. Nurture where it is needed. Love with a compassion of valuing and embracing the unlovely. Provide an environment of peace in your presence. Fight for the goodness of God to abound in our world. Teach from the example of your life. Give the gift of yourself. Men, women, and children are watching.
Mother’s Day is behind us this year, but mothers and women and females and ladies are all around us all the time. Learn the grace of womanhood as God intended woman to be, in His image, Godly!
